WHO IS SANJA JOVANOVIC

Sanja Jovanovic is world record backstroke swimmer from Croatia. She is born September 15, 1986 in Dubrovnik. She holds world record in 50m backstroke. She improved her previous World Record from 15th December 2007 on April 13th 2008 on European SC Championships. This website is dedicated to her and her life. Biography

-Born in Dubrovnik on 15 September 1986
-with nine age starts her swimming career in 1995
-Appeared at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and took third place in the 200 meter backstroke at the European championships in Madrid
-In 2006 Dmitar Bobev is hired as her new coach
-Took the gold medal in the 50 meter backstroke and silver in the 100 meter backstroke in 2007 at the European championships in 25-meter pools in Debrecen
-Won a bronze medal in 2008 at the European championships in big pools held in Eindhoven in the 50 meter backstroke event, and went on to win gold in Manchester at the small pool world championships, setting a new world record in the 50 meter backstroke and also taking the bronze in the 100 meter backstroke event
-Lives in Mokosica with her mother and three sisters.
